Refund Policy

Effective date: 4 May 2026. Operated by Pickleball BLR, Bengaluru, India.

We want every player to feel confident registering. This policy explains exactly when and how you can get a refund, who to contact if something goes wrong, and what happens if a tournament is cancelled by us.

1. Player-initiated cancellation

You can cancel a confirmed registration at any time before the tournament's start date and time. Open My tournaments in your dashboard and click Cancel registration.

By default we offer a tiered refund based on how close you cancel to the tournament:

  • More than 7 days before start — 100% of the entry fee refunded.
  • 3 to 7 days before start — 75% of the entry fee refunded.
  • Less than 3 days before start — 50% of the entry fee refunded.
  • After the tournament starts or no-show — no refund.

For the MVP rollout, every cancellation made before the tournament start currently gets a full refund. We will give you at least 14 days' notice before introducing a tiered schedule on a specific tournament. The exact terms for each tournament are shown on its detail page at the time you register.

2. Refunds initiated by us

  • Tournament cancelled by us — 100% refund of the entry fee.
  • Tournament postponed by more than 7 days — your registration carries forward to the new date by default; if the new date doesn't work, contact us and we will refund 100%.
  • Category cancelled or merged — if your category is cancelled and we cannot move you to a comparable category, you receive a 100% refund.

3. How refunds are processed

  • Because entry fees are collected offline (UPI / bank transfer), refunds are also issued offline. An organiser will confirm the destination account with you and process the transfer.
  • We aim to initiate the refund within 2 business days of your cancellation. The transfer itself usually clears within 1–2 banking days after that.
  • You can track the refund status under Payments in your dashboard. Once the transfer is initiated we'll record the reference there.
  • If you used a discount code or voucher, the refund covers only the amount you actually paid in INR.

4. Disqualification, no-show, and code-of-conduct violations

No refund is issued if you are disqualified, marked no-show, or removed from a tournament for breach of the player code of conduct (see Section 6 of our Terms of Service). You will be notified of the decision and can appeal it by writing to us within 7 days.

5. Unconfirmed payments

If we don't receive your offline payment by a tournament's confirmation deadline, your registration stays in Pending payment and may be released back to capacity. There is nothing to refund in that case. Send us the transfer reference if you've already paid and we'll match it to your seat.

6. Disputes

If you have a concern about a payment, please email us first with your registration ID and the transfer reference. We will respond within 2 business days and resolve any legitimate issue directly with you.

7. Prize money

Prize money is paid after a tournament concludes and may be subject to TDS deduction under Indian tax law. Once disbursed, prize money is not refundable.

8. Contact for refund issues

Email hello@pickleballblr.com with your registration ID and we will respond within 2 business days. For unresolved issues you can escalate to our grievance officer at privacy@pickleballblr.com.
